Robert B. East, Managing Partner

Bob East has worked on Wall Street in Institutional Sales for over 18 years. He began his career with Alex. Brown & Sons in 1988 and was promoted to Managing Director in 1999. In 2002 he moved to CIBC World Markets to open their Baltimore sales office.

During his 14 year tenure at Alex. Brown and Deutsche Bank, he managed major institutional client relationships in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and the Midwest. These accounts included: Alliance Capital Management, Soros Fund Management, Neuberger Berman, Scudder Investments, Kemper Insurance, Aon Insurance, Citadel Investment Group, Chicago Equity Partners, Dimensional Fund Advisors, Wells Fargo Funds, Artisan Partners, Northwestern Mutual Life, Columbia Management, UBS Global Investments, UBS O'Connor, US Bancorp, Northern Trust, Principal Global Investments, The State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Wanger Asset Management and William Blair Investment Management.

At CIBC, in addition to his Midwest responsibilities, Bob also managed accounts in the Mid-Atlantic region including T. Rowe Price, Alex Brown Investment Management and Chartwell Investment Partners. Bob has also served as a senior member of the Non-deal Marketing Committee and Deal Marketing Committee at both Deutsche Bank and CIBC.

During his career, Bob has worked closely with management teams in executing a variety of public equity, equity-linked and privately placed equity transactions in many growth sectors. He has also led management teams on numerous days of non-deal marketing. Specifically in health care, Bob has worked with companies in all sub-sectors including such companies as: Cotherix, Myogen, Arena Pharmaceuticals, Isolagen, Molina Healthcare, Progenics, Seattle Genetics, Sera Care Life Sciences, Threshold Pharmaceuticals, CIMA Labs, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, AMERIGROUP, Value Health, United Health Group, National Surgery Centers, Health Care REIT, Perclose, Cooper Companies, Urologix, Kinetic Concepts, Target Therapeutics, Express Scripts, Sunrise Assisted Living, Hanger Orthopedic and Phycor.

Bob received a BA in Finance from Loyola College in Baltimore. He lives in Baltimore, MD with his wife and three children.
